Naked Ocellaris Clownfish

Amphiprion ocellaris

About this strain

Naked Ocellaris completely lack all white banding — the stripes are entirely absent, leaving a plain, unbroken orange body with normal black fin edging. The result is surprisingly striking in its simplicity; that uninterrupted orange against coral is genuinely eye-catching. They're one of the most genetically distinct designer Ocellaris because the trait involves a different mutation pathway than the white-expansion morphs. No stripes also means no mistaking them for any other clownfish variant. Fully reef-safe and captive-bred, with the same peaceful temperament as any Ocellaris. An underrated choice for hobbyists who want something unusual without busy patterning.

Origin

Developed through selective breeding targeting complete suppression of white banding in Ocellaris. The Naked strain was developed and commercialized by ORA in the United States, with availability expanding through the 2010s.
